(a) Physical geography
Ans:- Physical Geography and its
Importance: Physical geography is one of the most important discipline from the
geographical point of view, but it is also the most important from the point of
view. Physical geography includes the study of the lithosphere, atmosphere,
hydrosphere and biosphere. Emerging as a discipline of assessment and
management of natural resources. To achieve this objective, it is necessary to
understand the complex relationship between the physical environment and man.
The physical environment provides resources and human beings use these
resources and ensure their economic and cultural development. Therefore, a
better understanding of physical environment or physical geography is
absolutely essential for sustainable development.
(b) Troposphere
Ans:- Troposphere: The troposphere is the lowest layer of the atmosphere. It has an average altitude of 13 km and extends to a height of about 8 km near the poles and about 18 km. At the equator. This layer contains dust particles and water vapour. All changes in climate and weather take place in this layer. The temperature in this layer decreases at a rate of 1 °C for every 165 m of elevation (6.4 °C for every 1000 m). Above the troposphere there is a small region known as the tropopause.
