animal, social relationships and social group.

6. What do you mean by Socialization? 2
Ans:- Socialization, the process by which an

7. Define social survey. 2
Ans:- Surveys are a form of planned collection of
data for the purpose of describing and analyzing the relationships between
certain variables. Social survey is a systematic method of collecting facts
about the people living in a specific geographical, cultural or administrative
area. It is a technique of collecting qualitative data about the social aspect
of the community.
8. Mention two basic elements of culture. 2
Ans:- Culture has many elements. The major components
of culture are languages, beliefs, values, ideals, behavior patterns, and
material objects.

9. What are the two types of social stratification? Give
examples. 2
Ans:- Social stratification system is divided into
2 varieties – (i) open system (ii) closed system.

10. Express the meaning of technology. 2
Ans:- Technology affects society in many ways. The
most famous example of the large-scale social change brought about by
technology is the Industrial Revolution.
The discovery of
stream power changed the industrial as well as the transport system. Steamships
and railways changed the world's economy and social geography.
The changes
brought about by the inventions of gunpowder paper and printing technology, the
invention of new spinning and weaving machines are some examples of social
change.
