Course
(SYLLABUS)
(i) General Intelligence & Reasoning - Analytical
aptitude and ability to observe and differentiate between patterns will be
assessed through questions of theoretically non-verbal type. This component
includes analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization,
spatial orientation, visualization, difference observation, relationship
concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figure classification, arithmetical number
series, non-verbal series, coding sequences.
(ii) General Knowledge and General Awareness – The
objective of the questions in this component will be to test the general
knowledge of the environment around the candidate. Questions will also be asked
to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of day-to-day
observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an
educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its
neighboring countries especially sports, history, culture, geography, economic
scenario, general polity including Indian constitution, scientific research
etc. These questions will be of such a type that they do not require special
study of any subject.
(iii) Elementary Mathematics – In this paper,
problems related to number system, computation of whole numbers, relationship
between decimal and fractional numbers, basic arithmetic operations,
percentage, ratio and proportion, average, profit and loss, mensuration, time
And questions related to distance, ratio and time, time and work etc. will be
included.
(iv) English/Hindi – The understanding and writing
ability etc. of the candidate in basic English or Hindi language will be
tested. The questions in all the above components will be of Matriculation
level.
