It is highly appreciated by users, either as selfless support or as an educational intervention when needed (Kay & Abras, 2013; Serrano-Laguna, Torrente, Moreno-Ger, & Fernandez-Manzón, 2014). This is because it captures their attention, forces them to focus on what is relevant and important (Ketamo & Keely, 2010), allows them to think about what they have learned or on the results of their actions (Cheng & Annetta, 2012), modify their strategies, and have a sense of progress (Cheng, Lin, & Shi, 2015).

(ii) Subjective quality of learning material: All data, information and facts are offered in the learning material and used within the SG. How users perceive its quality is quite important, especially when the learning objectives are difficult to achieve or when the learning subject is technical or boring. In such cases, how SGs present content to users has important implications for learning (Michael & Chen, 2005). Furthermore, it is important that learning materials should not be viewed as layers of information and games (Mortara et al., 2014); It has to be integrated flawlessly into SG (Khenisi, Esalmi, & Gemani, 2015).
