we agree that the general was in Dr. Sadao S's palm as he was the only one who
could save his life. Furthermore, the general never trusted the German surgeons
as they would consider the operation a success if he died during the operation.

Ans: The
General assured Dr. Sadao to get the P.O.W killed. He assured her that he would
send his killers that night and get the man out of his house. The General asked
him to open his door that night.

Ans: The
General had promised him that he would get the P.O.W killed, but he could not
keep it as he was sick most of the time. Due to illness, he forgot to keep his
promise.

Dr. Sadao saw the man off from his island, he advised him to signal once to get
there safely. He received a signal and made sure that the man reached there
safely.

Sadao used to talk to the patients while operating them. When the patient used
to cry or moan during the operation, he used to talk to him calling him his
friend.

secret plan did the general have about the American soldier who was under
Sadao's care?
Ans: The
General plans to have the American soldier under Dr. Sadao's care killed by his
personal assassins. He also assured the doctor to take out the body.
