(a) In your opinion, what kind of a person was the verger?

Ans: Verger Albert Edward Foreman was a simple man. He performed his duty with honesty and dedication. He was rector of St. Peter's Church for sixteen years and did all the minor and physical duties. He loved his job and had no complaints about it until a new pastor discovered he could not read and write. But Verger was a man in his own right. When the priest asked him to learn the alphabet, failing which he would lose his job. Verger maintains his dignity and declines the priest's offer. He preferred to resign, believing that it was too late to learn. He realized that his illiteracy would never interfere with his duties. Foreman started a tobacco shop and was surprisingly successful. Even the banker was surprised to see his ability without education. He had no less than ten shops. Verger was in fact a strong man who accepted his problems in order to become a successful businessman. He also did not aspire to social success and lived a simple life, although he had enough money to live a luxurious life. They realized that it was better for them to remain illiterate. He had little education but acquired an abundant amount of textual knowledge through intelligent observation of the world.

Verger's practical thinking, dedication, and ability to work hard solidified his position. These were the qualities Wager wanted in a priest.

It had sunken handlebar, flick steering, push button glass razors, floating seats, multi-coloured speedometer, hidden air conditioner, tape recorder, digital alarm with calculator etc. All of these will complement the author's dashboard panel. But sadly, the author never understood the purpose of most of these buttons, switches, and gadgets. It was a journey to leave him alone. While they used the car for a total of thirty minutes during a ten-year period, this dropped to less than three minutes in one year.
