Ans:- The peripheral nervous system is

2. Answer the following questions: 2x12=24
(a) Write two educational provisions for infancy.
Ans: - After birth, infancy is the first
stage of life. Infection begins after birth and continues for five years of
growth and development. Some psychologists have divided childhood into two
parts, that is, childhood and later childhood. The first stage of life of two
years from the moment of birth is of infancy, which is called the second stage
from the initial stage until the age of 5, which is called the later infancy.
(b) Mention any two functions of UGC.
Ans:- (i) To promote and co-ordinate
university education.
(ii) To make rules on minimum standards of education.
(c) Write two major functions of cerebrum.
Ans:- The cerebrum is said to be the largest and most developed part
of the brain.
Cerebrum has two main functions:-
(i) It has several deep grooves called cerebral hemispheres that
divide the cerebrum into right and left halves.
(ii) It controls the sensory perception of light, smell, touch and
sight.
(d) What do you mean by childhood?
Ans:- Childhood is the second stage of
growth and development after birth. In common parlance, childhood is the stage
of growth and development that covers the age range of six to twelve years.
(e) Name two kinds of duct gland.
Ans:- Exocrine glands are glands of
external secretion. These are those that secrete substances through a duct onto
the body surface. Salivary glands, mammary glands, sweat glands are some of the
exocrine glands.
(f) Write two roles of students in the school.
Ans:- Students have two roles in school:-
(i) Being punctual and respectful: By
being respectful, students contribute to a healthy learning environment and
reduce distractions and disciplinary actions. He is also considered punctual.
Coming late to school tarnishes their image which also negatively impacts their
grades. Thus, it is very important for them to maintain discipline in the
classroom and understand time management.
(ii) Obey all teachers: Students should behave
respectfully and obediently with their teachers and other members.
(g) Write briefly two roles of teacher as a motivator.
Ans:- Teacher has two roles as a motivator: -
(i) He should be able to give clear and detailed knowledge of the
subject.
(ii) He should use a variety of teaching aids to make his teaching effective
and interesting.
(h) What do you mean by Clinical Psychology?
Ans:- This branch attempts to diagnose
and treat specific psychological problems or diseases that cause abnormal
behavior and help the individual adjust effectively in society.
