2. Define business risk. 2
Ans:- Business risk is defined as the probability of occurrence of any adverse event that has the potential to reduce business profits and maximize losses. In simple words, business risks are those factors that increase the possibility of losses and reduce the possibility of profit in a business.
3. Mention two limitations of Private Ltd. Co. 2
Ans:- Two limitations of Private Ltd.Co are:-
(i) Shared Ownership.
(ii) It cannot issue prospectus to the public.
4. Mention two initiatives which need to be taken by a business enterprise for environmental protection. 2
Ans:- (i) Companies involved in various utilities or production of products can adopt eco-friendly, low waste and clean technologies for the equipment used in such industries.
(ii) Industrial waste should be recycled every time so that the possibility of pollution is minimized.
5. Mention two limitations of E-business. 2
Ans:- There are two limitations of e-business:-
(i) Security Issues: There are many people who commit scams through online business. Additionally, it is easy for hackers to steal your financial information. There are some security and integrity issues. This also creates distrust among potential customers
(ii) Delivery time: Delivery of products takes time. This lag time often discourages customers. However, e-businesses are trying to solve such issues by promising very limited delivery times. For example, Amazon now assures one-day delivery
6. Why is profit so important to a business? 3
Ans:- Profit is important for a business because it allows growth, planning for the future and can help the company during difficult times.
Here are some reasons why profit is important for a business:-
(i) Attract Investors: Profitability affects whether a company can attract investors to finance its operations and grow its business.
(ii) Secure financing: Profitability affects whether a company can secure financing from a bank or not.
(iii) Cost Reduction: Organizations can reduce costs to increase their profits.
7. Write about three distinctive features of Hindu Undivided Family (HUF). 3
Ans:- Hindu Undivided Family (HUF) is a joint Hindu family in which the male members are descended from a common ancestor and include their wives and unmarried daughters. It is governed by Hindu law.
Here are three distinctive features of a Hindu Undivided Family (HUF):-
(i) Membership by birth: Membership of a family can be acquired only by birth. As soon as a boy is born in the family, that child becomes a member.
(ii) Liability: Except the Karta, the liability of all other members is limited to their shares in the business.
(iii) Continuity: HUF is not affected by the death of the members.
8. Suggest three measures to overcome risks associated with online payment. 3
Ans:- Here are some measures you can take to reduce the risks associated with online payments:-
(i) Avoid saving card details
(ii) Use a private window for transactions
(iii) Do not share the password
(iv) Avoid public computers/Wi-Fi networks
(v) Beware of fraudulent apps
(vi) Download apps from trusted sources
9. Write three ill-effects of Corona pandemic on international business. 3
Ans:- There are three side effects of Corona epidemic on international trade:-
(i) Hospitality and travel were among the worst-hit industries: COVID-19 has had the most significant impact on businesses in the hospitality and tourism sectors. Hotels, pubs, restaurants and clubs around the world have been forced to close their doors to guests to prevent the spread of the virus.
(ii) Unemployment rates have increased: Before the pandemic, global employment rates were relatively stable. However, the number of unemployed people around the world has increased rapidly since the appearance of this virus.
(iii) Impact on international stock markets: The world's largest stock exchanges, including the FTSE, Dow Jones Industrial Average and Nikkei, were hit hard during the first few months of the pandemic. Major Asian and US stock markets have recovered since the first vaccines were announced in November 2020, but the British FTSE is still in the red. However, the impact of COVID-19 on international trade has not been 100% negative.
10. What are the purpose of IMF? 3
Ans:- The International Monetary Fund is the second international organization after the World Bank. IMF was established in 1945. Its headquarters is located in Washington DC.
Its various objectives are as follows:-
(i) To promote international monetary co-operation through a permanent institution.
(ii) To facilitate the expansion of balanced development of international trade and contribute to the promotion of employment and real income.
(iii) To promote exchange stability with a view to maintaining an orderly exchange system among the member countries.
(iv) To assist in the establishment of a multilateral system of payments in respect of current transactions between members.
11. Discuss the various problems faced by micro, small and medium enterprises in NE India. 5
